By Car:
From the North and Boston:
Take 1-95-South to Exit 9 (Route 4-South). Follow Route 4-South to Route 1-South. Stay on Route 1-South (past the intersection of Route 138-West leading to the University of Rhode Island) until reaching the EXIT for Downtown Wakefield. Turn right on Old Tower Hill Road. Our visitor center is immediately on your right.
From the South and New York:
Take I-95-North to exit 3A (Route 138-East). Continue 10 miles east on 138-East, past the University of Rhode Island at Kingston Village. Turn right at the junction of Route 108-South. Proceed south on Kingstown Road (Route 108) to the junction with Wakefield's High Street or continue south on Kingstown Road (Route 108) to the junction with Wakefield's Main Street. Turn left onto Old Tower Hill Road. Go through one stop light. Our visitor center is located on the left.
From Newport :
Follow Route 138-West over the Newport and Jamestown Bridges to Route 1-South. Proceed south (past the intersection of Route 138-West leading to the University of Rhode Island) until reaching the EXIT for Downtown Wakefield. Turn right on Old Tower Hill Road. Our visitor center is immediately on your right.
From Hartford and Westerly:
Follow Route 2-South to Route 78-East (also known as the Westerly by-pass). Turn left at the junction with Route 1. Proceed north on Route 1-North through Charlestown to South Kingstown. Two major exits lead downtown. The exit to Wakefield's Main Street is at the southern end of town and the exit onto Old Tower Hill Road is at the northern end of town.

By Train:
AMTRAK : 1-800-USA-RAIL (872-7245). The West Kingston Railroad Station is approximately 5 miles from the center of downtown Wakefield via (Route 108-North and Route 138-West).
By Plane
T.F. Green State Airport is located about 25 miles north of downtown Wakefield. Bus transportation and car rentals are available at the airport.
