PETTAQUAMSCUTT HISTORICAL SOCIETY/OLD WASHINGTON COUNTY JAIL - Its cell block erected in 1858, with jailer's residence added 1861, this granite building served as the Washington County Jail until 1956 and became the home of the Pettaquamscutt Historical Society in 1961. After a winter of extensive renovations, the building reopened in May 2002 with a new exhibition gallery. Genealogy/local history library is available to members and to others
