Event Description:
South County is extremely photogenic, with historic buildings, ocean views, bucolic farms, winding roads, meandering rivers, and of course, the people. The South County Tourism Council is holding its 11th Annual Photo Contest to portray the many personalities of this area. The challenge for 2012 is to capture the compelling people, places and activities in South County that cross the four seasons in all 11 towns. With a chance to win over $1,000 in prize money, all entrants are encouraged to submit enticing images reflecting the people, places and events within the environs of Charlestown, Coventry, East Greenwich, Exeter, Hopkinton, Narragansett, North Kingstown, Richmond, South Kingstown, Westerly and West Greenwich.
